Tax Exemption
You are urged to complete the application for Maryland Tax Exemption right away.  A copy of your federal charter is required with the application.

Credit unions without a current Maryland State Sales and Use Tax Exemption Certificate should follow this link for information on applying for such certificate.  Once you have the certificate, please follow the instructions below.

Credit unions with a current Maryland State Sales and Use Tax Exemption Certificate should contact the Loews’ Annapolis Hotel Credit Manager, Ms. Janis Jones, to pre-arrange for state tax exemption.  Once room reservations have been made, a master account should be established for the credit union and a photocopy of the Tax Exempt Certificate should be sent to Ms. Jones.  Rooms must be paid for by credit union check, and the Tax Exempt Certificate should be presented at check-in.
